Submission

Since 2007, Aberdeen Bay has supported over 70 first-time authors to get published and become highly successful. In fact, we are one of the few publishers provide personalized, unbiased support for potential authors today. We also take pride for our unique mentorship program. Our experienced authors serve as personal mentors for new authors. At Aberdeen Bay, you are a member of our family.

We publish mostly memoirs, mainstream fiction, biography, history, and textbooks. We only publish manuscripts that are of high professional quality. It is not necessary for prospective authors to have an agent or any publishing history in order to submit their manuscripts to us.

 

Book Manuscript

Please submit the following initial items to us:

A standard USB thumb drive (preferred) or physical printout that contains: your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, author bio, story synopsis or executive summary, and the first three chapters (if you believe we need to see more to get a better idea of your story, you are welcome to submit additional chapters). All manuscripts and submission materials will be recycled, not returned.

 

We appreciate the many queries submitted. As an independent publisher, we only accept a very limited number of manuscripts for publication or further consideration. In making our decisions we review many angles including the quality of the manuscript, the marketability of the book, the willingness of the author to be an active participant in book promotion, and our ability to properly support it within the context of our target markets.

 

Generally, you should expect to hear from us within eight weeks if we are interested in your submission. If you have not heard from us after twelve weeks, you can safely assume we are not the right publisher for your work. Please do not asking for status updates.

 

Please do not give up! Your manuscript may be very welcomed by another company. Under no circumstances shall any writer submit inquiries or request status updates about their manuscript. When we decide to review your entire manuscript, we will contact you via email and provide detailed instructions.
